How much do removal companies cost in the UK?

Removal costs depend on what must move and how difficult the move is, not simply the number of bedrooms. Give each company the same inventory and access details before comparing totals.

What shapes the price

Inventory and access matter

Two similarly sized homes can produce different quotes when one has a loft, heavy items, restricted parking or several flights of stairs. Include sheds, garages and outdoor items, and explain access at both addresses.

Clarify protection and insurance

Ask what packing protection is included, what insurance applies, its limits and exclusions, and how loss or damage must be reported. Check whether owner-packed items are treated differently.
