How to choose a bouncy castle hire company

Choose the inflatable and supplier together. A suitable hire depends on the users, the measured space, safe setup conditions and clear arrangements for weather, supervision, delivery and collection.

Check that the inflatable suits the users

  • Tell the company the children’s or adults’ age range and expected number of users.
  • Ask about the specific inflatable’s user limits and rules rather than assuming all castles are alike.
  • Explain whether it is a private garden, hall, school, public event or another setting.

Measure the whole setup area

Get the inflatable’s actual dimensions plus the clearance the supplier requires around it. Measure gates, paths and indoor doorways as well as the final space. Mention slopes, hard surfaces, overhead obstacles, underground services and the available power supply.

Ask about safe operation

  • How will it be anchored on this particular surface?
  • What setup checks and operating instructions will be provided?
  • Who is expected to supervise, and are staffed-hire options available?
  • What insurance does the business carry for the service offered?
  • How is the inflatable cleaned and checked between hires?
  • What should you do if the blower stops or conditions change?

Understand the weather policy

Ask what conditions would prevent setup or require use to stop, who makes that decision, and what cancellation, postponement or refund terms apply. Do not pressure a supplier to install or continue operating when they judge conditions unsuitable.

Confirm timings and terms

  • Delivery, setup and collection windows
  • Whether an adult must be present for handover and collection
  • Hire period and any overnight arrangements
  • What is included in the price
  • Rules for food, face paint, shoes, pets and maximum users
  • Cancellation, damage and cleaning charges
